Style of postings[]
[4 Aug] Q: do people prefer the long, full cut-n-paste adverts, or briefer postings? I tend to just put in what I think of as the crucial info (e.g. not the 'we're a great department!' blurb), and try to post deadlines in a standardized easily spottable way, etc. But perhaps it's better to have all the info repeated here, especially for adverts that may disappear? -I don't object to a bit of editing although I personally tend to lean towards including as much as possible when I add a posting. Part of me sees it as duplicating the listing as fully as I can for the benefit of those seeing it for the first time.
