Also, I am copying the guidelines from the Humanities and Social Sciences Postdocs 2011-12 . I think we can all agree that we should strive to keep this page as easy to read as possible to maximize its usefulness.

1. Please place new positions in alphabetical order. Note that "University of X" should be alphabetized by U as first sort, and X as second sort within the U listings.

2. Please mark the title of the position using the H3 header.

3. Please include the deadline and a web link to the ad/website; PLEASE follow the format of other entries.

4. For logging comments or updates, please begin your entry with a bullet point. Each entry should have a separate line.

5. For substantive comments or updates about status, interaction, etc., please include the date at the beginning of your entry so that users can scan the info quickly for new entries.

6. Please do not post names in "Accepted Offers" until an offer has actually been accepted. Do not post a name if an offer has merely been extended, as this is not fair to the candidate's students, or to the candidate him/herself, who may need to negotiate with his/her current institution, etc. Ideally names will only be posted on the wiki by the candidate him/herself, after accepting an offer, or by a third party with some corroborating evidence (university press release, link to successful candidate's website with announcement, etc), but I know that's not always possible since people hear things through social media or word of mouth. If you want to post a name of a pianist that you know has accepted an offer, please include something about the source of the information (not just "gossip" or "the grapevine"). This last year we had too much gossip-mongering and whining. Keep that to yourself.

Mercer University: Assistant/Associate Professor, Collaborative Piano (Deadline: 30 October 2020, but review begins 14 October)

• Assistant/Associate Professor of Collaborative Piano
• The Townsend School of Music at Mercer University seeks a specialist in the area of vocal collaborative piano. Responsibilities will include providing collaborative piano and coaching to singers in support of their private study and performance activities on campus and on departmental/degree recitals, juries, auditions, and competitions as well as classes in applied collaborative piano and collaborative piano vocal literature. Additional duties may include collaboration with guest artists as well as teaching aural skills and accompanying select choral ensembles.
• Qualifications. Master’s degree in a music-related field from an accredited college/university is required. An earned doctorate in a related field is preferred.
• The successful candidate must have: outstanding playing ability, musicianship, sight-reading, and musical collaboration skills; strong organizational skills; vocal coaching experience in Art Song and Opera; fluent knowledge of the standard vocal solo repertoire; ability to recruit students at the undergraduate and graduate level; success in teaching undergraduate aural skills; ability to work well with others.

University of British Columbia: Music - Assistant Professor (Piano) (Deadline: 15 November 2020)

• The University of British Columbia School of Music invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Piano, beginning July 1, 2021. We seek a versatile concert pianist with demonstrated potential for distinguished artistic achievement and teaching. In addition to a broad knowledge of the piano repertoire, applicants should demonstrate engagement with pedagogy and collaborative work. Familiarity with the piano repertoire beyond the traditional canon would be an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain performance projects leading to the securing of peer-reviewed external research funding (such as commissions, recordings, tours, and artist/research grants). They will contribute to the diverse activities of the Keyboard Division by engaging with, for example, improvisation, new technologies, cross-disciplinary interests, or community-based initiatives. Applicants should also demonstrate that they can effectively fulfill teaching and service duties, including graduate student supervision, while maintaining a demonstrated commitment to increased diversity, equity, and inclusion. A doctoral degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• The Keyboard Division is an integral part of a dynamic School of Music that offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs in music, including in Piano Performance, and is situated in a beautiful and culturally diverse metropolis.

University of South Carolina: Assistant Professor, Piano and Piano Pedagogy (Deadline: Open until filled, posted 16 September 2020)

• The Assistant Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy will engage in significant professional activities, maintaining regional, national, and international visibility in music research, pedagogy, and/or performance. Primary teaching duties in piano pedagogy, group piano, and applied piano, as needed. Recruit students for undergraduate and graduate piano and piano pedagogy programs. Other duties as assigned.
• Required Education and Experience: Earned Doctorate (or ABD) is required, with priority given to applicants with specialization and graduate degrees in piano pedagogy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Primary consideration will be given to candidates with a record of successful group piano teaching and related administrative and leadership skills. Preference for a candidate who demonstrates previous experience and/or potential for innovative instruction in piano pedagogy, to meet the needs of the 21st century pianist.

Wake Forest University: Assistant Professor, Piano Performance (Deadline: 15 November 2020)

• The Department of Music at Wake Forest University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Piano Performance to begin July 1, 2021. We seek an active performer and dedicated teacher with experience in a wide range of classical and contemporary music. We especially welcome applications from candidates who have expertise in music from traditionally underrepresented composers and cultural traditions. Successful applicants will maintain an active performance schedule and teach undergraduate piano lessons at all levels, as well as courses and seminars for music majors and non-majors. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion by way of teaching, performing, publishing, or volunteer experiences and/or practices. A Doctorate is preferred, but a MM with equivalent performance experience will be considered.

Washington & Lee University: Assistant Professor of Music - Applied Piano (Deadline: 01 October 2020)

• The Washington and Lee University Department of Music invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music position. This teacher-artist will give lessons to applied piano students and teach in a secondary area with preference given to those who are interested in music history survey courses. The person in this position may also teach the department’s music appreciation course, Introduction to Music. The appointment begins July 1, 2021.
• Applicants should possess a significant record of solo and collaborative piano performance and a commitment to pursuing performance opportunities on and off-campus in addition to teaching. The department places a premium on good interpersonal skills and the ability to recruit student pianists. Service on university, college, and departmental committees is expected and other duties may be assigned.
• Qualifications: Strong candidates should possess a doctorate in music or have completed one by the time of appointment. A demonstrable record of teaching excellence and a commitment to providing a high-quality music education in a liberal arts context are essential.
