  • Applicants must have a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment and demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research. A commitment to medical education, as well as undergraduate and graduate education, is essential.
  • The successful candidate will engage in significant ongoing research and publication, and will offer courses at all levels, including introductory courses in the history of American public health, as well as other more specialized courses in the candidate's field of interest.
  • The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the 1) teaching of students, residents, and/or fellows, 2) service, and 3) scholarly research missions of UW Health, the School of Medicine and Public Health, the Department of Medical History and Bioethics.
