NOTES:

  • to the people who were asked for additional materials, what did they request? Writing sample, or something else?
  • I checked my application in interfolio today, and noticed that it said my application was incomplete, with new fields to upload writing samples, evaluations, and syllabuses. HOWEVER, I didn't get an email/phone call requesting additional materials.  Anyone else notice this, or should I expect a request soon?
  • I noticed the same thing in interfolio for my application. I'm thinking that maybe they had to turn that function on for all applicants and then they would "open" those new fields to the people they chose to request more materials from--because I can see the fields, but I can't upload any additional info (x2)
  • I've just realized I was requested new materials but I can't add any in Interfolio. Any idea of what's going on?
  • FWIW, I received an email from the search chair (through Interfolio's interface) requesting 3 syllabi and up to 6 documents demonstrating teaching effectiveness, with explicit instructions for some of those to be full qualitative and quantitative teaching evals. I was able to upload these items, and my application is now listed as "complete" in Interfolio.
  • Thank you! I contacted them and they said it was a problem with Interfolio.

Discussion[]

  • Whoa. Unheard of to have 3 "experimental/avant-garde" job openings in a single year. What is happening?
  • Posted above in WKU listing, reposting here in case someone else might know: This WKU position was just reposted (HigherEdjobs, on their edu, etc) with an application deadline of March 1, 2017. Anybody know what's going on with this? Is it a continuation of a failed fall search, or what?
  • Re: WKU -- I checked and yes, this is a continuation of Fall 2016 search. If you've already applied, you need not re-apply.
