  • Applications due 1/9/17.
  • Of course this Black and Feminist position has a 5/4 work-load, two bosses, and is non-tenure track.
  • I was thinking the exact same thing. I've heard that this department is hostile towards women of color. Based on this job ad it seems like that may be true.
  • yeah, even with the full time salary (~50k i think?), this is a lot for one person to hold on that campus - clearly almost every black student would be looking to this person for mentorship!
  • they are on the quarter system, so 9 courses over the year is 3/3/3 (still a lot of teaching, but not 5/4)
  • My sister is a graduate student in one of these departments and I can confirm that women of color do have a difficult time here, but there presence is very much needed. Whoever gets hired will likely have a difficult time, but will really make a difference!

I.e., that I was 1.5 hours late rather than 22.5 hours early. Crap crap crap. Did anyone else get confused like that? Am I the only one who's an idiot when it comes to reading instructions? :'-(
