The College of Arts, Letters, and Education, at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Education to begin mid-September 2019.
The preparation of teachers is central to the mission of the Education Department and the selected individual will work closely with colleagues in all areas of the department. Our Master of Education program has options for certified teachers in educational foundations and curriculum and instruction, among others (online, hybrid, and face-to-face options). Our undergraduate teacher education program also offers a number of education majors resulting in specific Washington State Endorsements for successful teacher candidates. Several foundations courses are required for all elementary and secondary teacher candidates. Foundations core courses are introduction to education, foundations of assessment and elementary and secondary classroom management.
We seek an outstanding teacher with successful experience teaching P-12 and foundational courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Responsibilities will include teaching courses in the areas of learning theory, philosophy of education, curriculum development, research methods, and other foundations courses. The candidate selected for this position may be expected to teach online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes according to the needs of the department. Additionally, the candidate selected for this position will be expected to offer interest and/or experience in online learning and pursuit of grants, to expand the university's endeavors in those areas. All faculty are expected to actively participate in assessment of student learning and to engage in effective teaching.

Chinese is one of the ten languages offered in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures. It is one of the three language tracks of the new B.S. in Applied Modern Language and Culture, a unique major that combines the intensive study of language and culture with significant experience in a technical or professional discipline. The Chinese program offers Chinese language at all levels with an emphasis in applied use of Chinese language as well as solid foundation in Chinese language and culture. Every year approximately two hundred students take Chinese courses. The Department faculty are highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic, and provide engaging classes with a focus on active language practice and cultural competency. Students and faculty from diverse backgrounds work closely together. The Department houses a Modern Language Technology Center, where faculty can actively integrate technology in language teaching. The College of Liberal Arts is one of nine colleges within Rochester Institute of Technology. The College has over 150 faculty in 12 departments in the social sciences, humanities, and the arts. The College currently offers twelve undergraduate degree programs and five Master degrees, serving over 800 students. We are looking for candidates with expertise in the area of Chinese literature, film, and/or culture. West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), a member of The Texas A&M University System, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank. This position is a twelve (12) month tenure-track appointment that will serve as a Core Doctoral Research Faculty member for current and proposed doctoral programs at WTAMU, including an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Systems Agriculture. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary may range between $80,000 – $96,000.
WTAMU doctoral programs will use a centralized research faculty/doctoral core to build broad cross-disciplinary understanding, share interdisciplinary faculty expertise, and provide efficiency and cost effectiveness. The position reports to the Dean of the Graduate School/Vice President of Research, who facilitates the doctoral core in conjunction with the WTAMU academic Deans.

- Engage in shared research publications with graduate students and graduate faculty across WTAMU doctoral programs
- Teach students and faculty to utilize statistical analysis software

'About the Position: 'The successful candidate is expected to be an excellent teacher committed to undergraduate instruction and curriculum development in Elementary Mathematics Education, both content and methods. The current standard teaching load is two courses (about 9 classroom hours per week) per quarter.
