Tenure-track assistant professor of eukaryotic cell biology
Position beginning September 2013. Candidates should have Ph.D. by start date and a commitment to undergraduate education and research. Teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory sections in (1) upper-level advanced cell biology; (2) sophomore-level cell and molecular biology; and (3) biology electives in their specialty (e.g., cell signaling, cancer biology, metabolic pathways). The biology program faculty also contributes to thefirst-year interdisciplinary core curriculum on a rotating basis.
Teaching load is two classes with laboratory sections per regular term and a single class during May term or August term. The college has an excellent faculty development program that competitively funds student and faculty research.

In addition discuss how you engage undergraduates through your teaching and research.
