  • Ability to teach transnational, gender, science/medical, and/or environmental topics is highly welcomed.
  • This position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically underrepresented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQ students).   • Teaching responsibilities include an introductory survey in African history as well as mid-level and advanced courses on the Global South and other topics of the instructor’s choosing. The course load is 3/3, with one course every year contributing to an interdisciplinary program such as a First Year Seminar (FYS) or the Honors Program.
