NOTES:

  • There looks like there is an internal candidate for this position...
  • I have also heard this looks like a probable internal hire, but I'm just curious how people figured this out. I just flipped through their adjunct bios and didn't see one that immediately jumped out as an obvious fit for this ad, but maybe I just missed something.
  • There is someone on the faculty website listed as a Teaching Professor who fits the job description perfectly. I'm assuming those are non-TT positions, hence why that person may be an internal hire.
  • Through the grapevine: internal may be an outside candidate who is a spousal hire accomodation for existing faculty member
  • Ah hah! Thanks!
  • Of course, positions written with some regard for the work of a non-TT teacher in the department wind up going to someone other than that faculty member quite frequently and for any number of reasons.
  • Not sure where y'all got your info but exactly 0 of the invited candidates are Georgetown spouses or contingent faculty. Take wiki info with a grain of salt.

  • Interfolio link says: "Closes: Nov 13, 2015 at midnight Eastern Time (GMT-4 hours)"
  • 11/4: What does "(include V number F11)" mean--is that a reference number to help search Interfolio or is it a ref # to put in a cover letter?
  • The Montclair State jobs page lists that as the "Vacancy Number" for the position. Seems like a ref # to put in cover letter.
  • Any news?
  • I just received request to fill out their equal opportunity/affirmative action etc. survey. But I was never contacted for an interview and it seemed like their interviews were already underway. It's confusing. Anyone knows how things actually stand with them? (x2)
    • Same boat. I would assume this means that they've just got around to asking for elective submissions of EEOP forms from people whom they have not got around to updating on their rejection.

  • While I'm bummed I got a rejection, kudos to Syracuse for letting people know of MLA interviews and rejections so far in advance.
  • Two letter requests and but only one MLA interview request on the same day seems unlikely. It would be unusual for these to come on the same day in any case. I'm guessing that there is some misinformation out there about MLA interviews having already been scheduled... can anyone confirm?
  • Any news on MLA interviews? Have they actually been scheduled?
  • I haven't heard anything after having my letters requested. (12/17)
  • Same (heard nothing after having letters requested) (12/17) x2 (12/18)
  • Any news after MLA interviews?
  • Anyone have any news on this search post-MLA? (3/5)
