We seek a scholar who is making original theoretical contributions beyond any one field of disciplinary expertise. The successful candidate should be able to engage with the broad range of interdisciplinary projects represented by the doctoral program in History of Consciousness and the interdisciplinary Humanities. Possible areas of research and teaching may include, but are not limited to: 1) race and ethnicity; disability; gender and sexuality; animal studies; 2) philosophy and theory, including psychoanalytic, political, postcolonial, Marxist; science and technology studies; humanisms and posthumanisms, human rights; theology and religion; 3) political economy and social movements, including globalization, world systems, environmentalism; 4) media, aesthetics, poetics: visual culture, music, literature, and digital arts.
